Video Production Part One: Granny

Okay so this entry showcases our short one minute film titled "Occupational Disruption at Granny's Farm".  The film shows Granny being involved in an accident, and her occupational deprivation as a result. The therapist issues her with adaptive equipment to resolve her occupational deprivations. This task was to be based on one of four themes, and we chose "occupational disruption". The film was planned, filmed and edited at Otago Polytechnic by Lisa, Caroline, Amy, Mary and Jess, using a video camera and child's toys for props. To make the film we first planned a story board and the shots that we wanted to use. This made the shooting and the editing of the footage much more simple; the footage was edited using a mac computer at the Polytechnic, with the inclusion of music and captions.

Introducing me: Occupational therapy student.

Firstly, hello!
My name is Jessamy, I am a second year OT student~ and this is my brand spanking new Participation in Occupation 1 Blog. Within this blog I hope to explore my understandings of the use of technology and how it has has become so entwined in life as we now know it. I plan to discuss my thoughts and ideas about technology ( and maybe post a few clips?!); and look at how technology can  impact and improve participation in occupations; I will also delve into and discuss some of the implications that technology brings (ahhh there's always a catch!).  So bare with me as I figure this all out, change around colour's and font styles (!) and figure out how to become a real life blogger. Happy reading. ~ Jessamy~
